Donk Donk is a small rural village, part of Maldegem. Immediatelly the charming little church (late 19th century) next to the cobblestone road jumps to the eye. A must-see is the agricultural museum "Smoefelbeekhoeve", where you can find, next to the traditional farming material also an old forgery and an impressive collection of oldtimer tractors. Between Maldegem and Donk there is a small-track railway on which you can take a small museumtrain leaving from the steamcenter in Maldegem. Remarkable is the name of one of the streets in the village: the "Pispot". It received the doubtable honour of being the ugliest streetname in Flanders. But what's in a name? If you check it out, you will notice that the "Pispot" is actually a very nice, small, rural street.
